You are halfway through the exam season, don’t take your foot of the gas now!
It may feel like you don’t remember a time when you didn’t have exams but take that as a positive. That means you are nearing the end of your exams and all that hard will soon have paid off.
To help keep you motivated during this exam season we have pulled together our three top tips for keeping yourself focused and beating the exams blues.
1 – Keep the momentum going
You have been revising hard and progressing through your exam timetable. Keep that momentum going. It’s easy to think that you have done enough revising so you don’t need to do anymore but don’t sit back and rest on your laurels just yet! Just a few more exams to go, don’t stumble at the last hurdle!
2 – Don’t give up
You may be feeling elated after a positive exam, or deflated after some tricky questions, but however you feel you’ve done so far don’t let this adversely impact the rest of your exams. Try not to let a positive exam experience make you overconfident so that you stop revising. Likewise, don’t let a few difficult questions knock you off your stride. Keep going, keep persevering, the end is in sight!
3- Keep your eye on the prize
Even though you may feel overwhelmed now, remember it will all be worth it in the end. In the short term think about how you will have the whole summer to relax, chill out and let off some steam, after you have completed all your exams. Not only that, your GCSE exams symbolise the end of one stage in your life and the beginning of a new chapter in your life to be explored.
